Release Info :

A majestic EP of fragile, organic electronica from Reyjkavik, Iceland, the debut release from a hirsute young man named Bjorn Kristjansson. As Borko he delivers four subtle, melodic & engaging tracks which come across as if they were soundtracks to fairytales; gentle and serene, evolving slowly and beautifully. Produced with the guidance & expertise of his close friends from his home town, the EP echoes the work of Tugboat/Fat Cat artists Mum without being derivative or lacking an identity of it's own

In Borko’s own words ...

“This record could be described by the Icelandic word 'Ævintýri or 'Eventyr' in Danish, which means something between a fairy or folk tale and an adventure. The talented young artist Bjorn Kristjansson takes on the challenging role of Borko, the bearded & misunderstood child. There are striking similarities between them, the electronics musician and the good-natured farmboy, whose facial hair growth has made him the centre of attention in his rural community. Both of them started delivering the conservative newspaper to the surrounding houses in innocence, but turned against their shady past with triumph. Both of them grew beards at a very early age. These are what we call tunes, although electronic. Blessed with carefree wisps of computerized affection, melodies float from song to song in smiling companionship with the trickery of bedroom sampling and bouncing bouncing sequences. Despite it's subtlety, the music is so full of spirit that the listener may start to visualize dancing children or green green grass in valleys”.

Majestic four track EP from Iceland's Bjorn Kristjansson. Fragile organic electronica with engaging melodic subtlety - sounding like a computer game about a lonely bear lost in the woods at night. 1000 copies only on the Resonant label. PICCADILLY
